How to convert hours to minutes
1 h = 60 min
1 h = 60 min exactly (SI Brochure, Table 8). Multiply hours by 60; for decimal hours, multiply just the fraction by 60 to get the leftover minutes.
Examples
- 7.75 h = 465 min: a timesheet entry in decimal hours
- 40 h = 2,400 min: weekly hours after which US overtime pay applies (U.S. Department of Labor)
- 2.25 h = 135 min: a meeting logged in decimal hours
