How the conversion works
Every unit has a fixed length in seconds. The converter turns your value into seconds, then into the unit you want:

Real months vary from 28 to 31 days, so “month” here is an average. Leap years and the long-run calendar average are separate units.
Examples
- 135 minutes to hours: 135 ÷ 60 = 2.25 h, which is 2 h 15 min
- 7.5 hours: 0.5 × 60 = 30, so 7 h 30 min. 8.25 h is 8 h 15 min, not 8:25.
- 1,000,000 seconds: 11.57 days

- Year (365 days): the common calendar year, 52 weeks and 1 day.
- Leap year (366 days): every fourth year, except century years not divisible by 400.
- Year (Gregorian average): 365.2425 days, because the calendar adds 97 leap days every 400 years.
- Month: 1/12 of a 365-day year, so 12 months make exactly 1 year.
