How to convert ounces to pounds
1 oz = 0.0625 lb
16 oz = 1 lb exactly (NIST Handbook 44). Divide ounces by 16; whole pounds plus the leftover ounces gives the lb-oz form (40 oz = 2 lb 8 oz).
